Hello and welcome to Intrepid Ayurveda! I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and my practice. My name is Valerie Hwang and I am an Ayurvedic Health Counselor Intern practicing under the California College of Ayurveda. My practice is based in Long Beach, California, but as we are amidst the CoVid-19 crisis, like most businesses I am operating currently from home, where I am able to reach clients virtually anywhere in the world.
It has been a dream for me to have a health counseling practice in which the entire human experience is embraced in the process. Our diseases do not happen in isolation, nor do they come from nowhere. Ayurveda is the science of identifying and treating the root cause of the disease. Yes, we treat symptoms as well, but ultimately our goal is to guide and empower individuals to build life-long habits so that the body is strong enough to heal itself.
