About the Event

Ayurveda is a hot buzzword in the realm of holistic health these days, but what is it really? Originating in India over 5,000 years ago, Ayurveda is a system of healing that restores harmony to one's body, mind, and spirit. Translated as the Wisdom of Life, Ayurveda provides us with the pathway towards living life to its fullest potential. Relevant especially in this current climate of stress and disease exposure, the Ayurvedic lifestyle is one that builds the strength and resilience to withstand difficult challenges.

Whether you've barely heard of Ayurveda and want to explore what it's about, or are curious about how Ayurvedic health-care works, join Ayurvedic Health Counselor Valerie Hwang for an hour-long discussion on the basic philosophy behind this ancient healing science and how it can benefit you. See you there!

Topics covered:

  • The Ayurvedic perspective on the causes of disease
  • An overview of the 5-element theory
  • An interactive discussion of the three doshas
  • How Ayurvedic healthcare works

Please contact Valerie at intrepidayurveda@gmail.com or (562) 246-8975 with any questions. Thank you!
