About the Event
Ayurveda is a complete system of holistic medicine that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. Translated as the Wisdom of Life, Ayurveda provides us with the pathway towards living life to its fullest potential, but it also outlines a detailed system of pathogenesis in which we can understand the true roots of illness and disease. Relevant especially in this current climate of stress and disease exposure, the Ayurvedic lifestyle is one that builds the strength and resilience to withstand difficult challenges.
This free introductory workshop will cover basic Ayurvedic principles with an emphasis on how disease develops in the mind and body. Whether you've barely heard of Ayurveda and want to explore what it's about, or wish to dig a little deeper in understanding its principles, join Ayurvedic Practitioner Valerie Hwang for an hour-long discussion on the basic philosophy behind this ancient healing science and how it can benefit you. See you there!
Topics covered:
- The Ayurvedic perspective on the causes of disease
- The Three Doshas: Vata, Pitta, Kapha
- An Overview of Ayurvedic Pathogenesis
- Ayurvedic Healthcare and Disease Prevention
This workshop is free and will be held on Zoom. Please contact us at intrepidayurveda@gmail.com or (562)246-8975 with any questions. Thank you!
